Men Against Rape's mission is to promote true equality between men and women and to teach men and boys how to respect and honor women. We encourage everyone to take our pledge to stand up to violence against women, to protect women, and to do their part in promoting true equality and educating others about our purpose.
INDIAN ASSOCIATION OF SANTA BARBARA
The Indian Association of Santa Barbara was organized to serve people and descendants of the East Indian community of Santa Barbara County and for all others who wish to learn about their culture and religion. The organization will hold social, cultural and religious events to celebrate Hindu and Sikh festivals and holidays and to promote awareness of this culture within the Santa Barbara community and elsewhere. Emphasis is placed on community service projects to promote the spirit of giving (Serva).
SIKH CORPS
The Sikh Corps is a service opportunity for motivated changemakers to immerse themselves in a community abroad, working side by side with local leaders to tackle the most pressing challenges of our generation.
BELMONT COMMUNITY CENTER
Belmont Community Center, in Durban, South Africa, will be a combination senior living community and after school daycare where we put emphasis on learning and community. The senior residents will teach the children and young volunteers their trades and general life-skills in return for a renewed sense of purpose, community, and safety.
We aspire to eventually become completely self-sufficient.
The center is currently being constructed.
